There are several Cortina Ski Schools and High Mountain Guide companies in the resort each offering a comprehensive ranges of ski and snowboarding lessons for all ages and abilities including other disciplines such as snow shoeing and telemark. Cortina is a great place to learn to ski and snowboard as the pistes, whilst at high altitude, offer progressive terrain especially around the gentle slopes avove the village.

For children, there are 2 tailor-made slopes - the Baby Socrapes and Baby Guargnè and with over 150 ski instructors on hand, young skiers and boarders will be able to discover the fun and excitement of winter sports in total safety. Cortina also offers some very challenging terrain including the Canalone Staunies run with a 64 degree gradient! For a guided tour, try the steep ridges of the Creste Bianche, Bus di Tofana, Canalino del Prete or on the Sci 18 trail after you have skinned to the top! Off-piste ski guiding & touring

To experience the full extent of what Cortina has to offer, why not try some off-piste touring. Expert local guides will navigate you around the high mountain trails and ridges around the Tofana in safety or on an adventure over the Marmolada glacier and steeps in the Arabba area.

One of the most interesting ski tours is to explore the Col de Lana ski area on the Great War Ski Tour. You need to take the ski bus or taxi up to Passo Falzarego.

Sella Ronda

One of the best known ski tours in Europe, the Sella Ronda is a 26km circuit around the Sella Massif and can be skiied clockwise or anti-clockwise by intermediate skiers and above. Set amongst breathtaking scenery, the tour takes you through the four Ladin valleys of Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa and Arabba.

From Cortina, access to the Sella Ronda circuit is via Arraba and esaily connected via ski bus.

Marmolada

The Marmolada is the highest mountain in the Dolomites reaching up to 3343m and is easily accessed from Canazei via Arabba. It takes about 40 minutes to ski to the base cable car from Arabba and it takes a further 2 to get to the top. The best known run is the Bellunese from Punta Rocca at 3300m down to Malga Ciapela, a vertical drop of 1800m and 12km long - truly amazing and stunning scenery all the way - one of the best 1 day ski tours on offer.

Welcome to the Cortina Ski School - Italy's first and founded in 1933. Our team consists of 130 ski, snowboard and telemark instructors who are specialised in working with children and people with disabilities.

We offer a choice of group (4-6 people) or private lessons for both skiing and snowboarding plus a range of other courses such as freeride, telemark and freestyle and guided ski tours.

Our instructors speak English, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, German and French.
