There are some 180km of off-piste itineraries waiting to be explored. These are trails that are marked but not patrolled and typically take you away from the crowded slopes and can last from a few hours to a whole day.

To experience the full extent of what St Anton and the Arlberg region has to offer, why not try some ski touring. Expert local guides will navigate you around the high mountain trails in safety taking you on an adventure around the Valluga and Schindler peaks, Galzig mountain and beyond.

Valluga Ski Tour

A popular itinerary is the very challenging route from the top of the Valluga down to Zurs - you can only access the cablecar to the top at 2811m if you are being accompanied by a mountain guide! The top section of the trail is extremely steep but soon opens up in to wide deep powder fields where the fun begins.

From Zurs, you have many more options for off-piste skiing including the lify-connected Lech area.

Malfon Valley

Most people who go to St Anton will never ski on the Rendl side opposite to the main area. However, this is the starting point for fabulous ski tours.

Heading up to Rendl Spitze via the lifts and a short skin to the top, you then have a amazing ski down to the Malfon Valley passing over Hinterbirge and continue to the pretty village of Pettneu at the foot of the Hohe Riffler peak.
