Kitzsteinhorn ski tour

This tour, known as The Eisbrecher, starts at Langwiedboden on the glacier. Its not that difficult, fairly short and does not involve using skins for any ascents so is appropriate for intermediate skiers or boarders who have experienced some off-piste terrain. The tour runs past the Alpincenter to the top station of the Maurer lift at 2875m giving a vertical of 899m. Whilst not a long tour, the panoramic views of Lake Zell and the surrounding peaks are spectacular.
