How to get to Saint Jean d'Aulps
Getting to The Vallée d’Aulps on the Lac Leman side of the Portes du Soleil area is easy whether you are travelling by plane, train or car.
By plane
The nearest airport is Geneva with transfers taking around one hour. If you are arriving at Chambery, Lyon or Grenoble, the airport transfers take a bit longer ranging from 2 to 2 1/2hours.
By car
The fastest way to get to Saint Jean d'Aulps from Geneva airport is to take the road to Thon and from there it is clearly sign-posted. The journey takes just under an hour by car. If you are coming from Bourg-en Bresse on the A40, follow signs for Nantua and leave the motorway at Annemasse and follow the directions for Thonon les Bains and then Morzine.
From Annecy travelling on the A41, follow signs to Chamonix, then Bonneville and get off the motorway at Scionzier. Head towards Taninges, then Morzine and Thonon les Bains.
By train
The closest station is Clues and from there a 30 minute taxi ride will have you in the resort. High speed TGV trains from Paris take approx 4 hours.
