The local ski area of Waidring is known as Steinplatte - Waidring and provides 40kms of pistes largely for beginners and intermediates due to the number of blue and red pistes and a distinct pack of black trails.

However, in addition to the local ski area, skiers and snowboarders have easy access to the large Skicircus carousel which connects the resorts of:

• Saalbach
• Hinterglemm
• Leogang, and
• Fieberbrunn

From gentle slopes and a multitude of carving pistes, the Skicircus is perfect for ski touring with 270kms of trails serviced by 70 ski lifts. The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn has a reputation as being one of the top ski areas in the Alps and is just 16kms from Waidring entering into the Fieberbrunn sector.
