By car

Geneva is the nearest airport (63km) to Châtel with airport transfer times of around 1 hour. Airport transfers from Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery are also possibilities but take around 2 hours. Travelling by car is relatively easy as it is motorway practically all the way no matter which direction you are coming from. If you are coming from France, head towards Geneva and then follow the signs to Thonon and then to Vallée d’Abondance/Châtel.

By train

The nearest train station is Thonon-les-Bains which is approx 45 minutes away from Châtel. There are regular buses up to the resort from the train station or you can get a taxi.
