Which ever direction you are coming from, you will need to get on to the A2 motorway that links Basel with Gotthard. Transfer times from Basel, Berne or Zurich typically take 1 hour and 15 minutes and from Lucerne, just 30 minutes.

Once on the A2 motorway, take the Stans-Süd exit and follow the signs to Engelberg which is just 20kms away.
