Brisen tour
The pyramid-shaped peak of Brisen is one of the most popular starting points for ski touring in Central Switzerland. The panoramic view and the wonderful descents are unique. The tour starts with taking the Haldigrat chairlift then it's a hike and skin over the striking north-west ridge to the summit. You will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Mittelland. The descent leads either to Gitschenen in the Isenthal, into the north-western flank of the Brisens to the Haldigrat valley station or then via Steinalper-Jochli to the SAC Brisenhaus / Niederrickenbach.
This ski tour typically takes around 3 and a half hours covering a distance of 10.6kms with acents of 1247m and decents of 1221m. This is a difficult ski tour so you need to be a very good intermediate skier or expert.

In good snow conditions the descent from Chaiserstuehl to Buelenboden can be very good and then, with good snow coverage, you can ski down to the valley.Always check whether this is possible with your ski tour mountain guide before you book the ski tour.
