Font Romeu Ski Holidays Skiing & snowboarding in Font Romeu, Pyrénées-Orientales
Font Romeu is a small ski spa resort sitting at 1800m in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France and just 10kms from the Spanish border.
The resort is linked to Bolquère Pyrénées 2000, the neighbouring resort and together, they provide 43 pistes for all levels of skier and boarder. However, beginners are in for a treat as its possible to ski from the top of the mountain all the way to the village on a green run - quite rare!

Our view on skiing in Font Romeu
Font Romeu ski holidays are not on the radar yet outside of France and the Catalan Spanish border area largely because many skiers tend to head for the large ski carousels year after year such as the Portes du Soleil or The 3 Valleys.
Whilst the ski area is relatively small, skiing in Font Romeu is fantastic for beginners and early intermediates with wide tree lined and gentle pistes and minimal queues. At a fraction of the cost of the French Alps, skiing at Font Romeu is good value and ideal for family ski holidays.
