Overview
Ski holidays in Hemsedal - one of Scandinavia's largest skiing areas and is known for its breathtaking scenery and steep runs. In Hemsedal, sport is the top attraction, with the focus on families and couples. Most of Hemsedal's million visitors a year are Norwegians themselves or tourists from Sweden and Denmark. Russia is just catching on as is the UK with many returning year after year. The ski season is longer than many European resorts, starting on 1 November and running right through until May, with an average 170 days skiing every year.
