Krvavec Ski Resort Guide & Reviews Ski Area, Apres-Ski, Accommodation, Other Activities

Resort Review

Krvavec took its first steps of becoming a ski resort back in 1958 with the construction of the chairlift from the valley up to Gospinca. Since then, the resort has not looked back and the infrastructure, especially in recent years, just keeps on getting better.

Krvavec is just 8km from the Ljubljana – Brnik airport making it an ideal destination for a weekend break as transfer times are around 20 minutes.

skiing in krvavec ski resort in slovenia

Beginners

The Gospinca Polygon nursery slopes can be found at the top of the main gondola. This is where you will start your skiing career using the magic carpets - one being 35m and is the longest in Slovenia. After mastering the basics, there are 7km of blue pistes to try out.

Kids are well looked after with the snow kindergarten and play park right on the slopes.

Intermediate

Of the 15km of intermediate runs, the best runs can be found off the top lift at Zvoh. At 1971m, it is the highest point you can ski from and on a clear day, you can see Mont Triglav - Slovenia's highest peak. There is a long red and a really good off-piste black.

Advanced

Experts may be a tiny bit disappointed if you are looking for long steep pistes and chutes and will probably want to try another resort after a few days such as Stari Vrh that also offers night skiing and is very close to Ljubljana .
