Lech ski resort guide & reviews Arlberg ski area, apres-ski, things to see & do in Lech
Overview
The modern day Lech ski resort started life as an old farming village and it wasnt until the early 20th century that skiing started to blossom. Sitting at 1,442m in the isolated Lech valley, the village used be regularly cut off from the outside world through the extensive snow falls that regularly hit this area. However, in 1940 the high mountain Flexen Pass road was completed linking the resorts of Warth, Lech, and Zürs in the upper Lech Valley with the Klostertal near Stuben on the St Anton side.
Après-ski
Being a chic and sophisticated ski resort, Lech boasts a number of upmarket restaurants and trendy bars with the hotels providing their fair share of evening entertainment. When your clientele list includes Royalty and A-list celebrities, expect to find going out a little more expensive than your usual ski resort.
