An authentic and charming village, Les Houches is made up of a scattering of hamlets surrounded by deep forests and rolling alpine meadows so you get some fantastic tree runs. There is also the famous "Kandahar" world cup black run - for experts only!
Its a relatively quiet ski resort compared to its much larger neighbour Chamonix, just a few km further up the valley, but is packed with charm and interesting bars and eateries frequented by the locals.
