How to Get There
Situated in Western Austria in the middle of the Tyrolean Alps, The Stubai is within easy reach of several international airports.
Airport transfers from Innsbruck to the Stubai valley take around 20 minutes depending upon the traffic and weather conditions. Alternatively, Bolzano in Italy is just 124km away via the Brenner Pass. With most of the journey via motorway, getting to Stubai is straightforward and hassle free.
The Stubaital valley tales around 20 minutes driving from the Olympic city of Innsbruck along the A 13 Brenner autobahn (Europa Bridge). Take the exit for Schönberg which is the gateway village in to the valley and then continue on to Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustift. Alternatively, use the toll-free route along the old Brenner Road to Schönberg which takes about 10 more minutes.
Don't forget to buy the Austrian road tax sticker "Vignette" as it's against the law to drive on the motorways without one. You can buy one at the border or at petrol stations. There are 3 type of sticker: 10-days, 2-months and 1-year.
Travelling by train for your ski holidays in Stubai is easy. The closest station is Innsbruck and from there, you can get an airport transfer to one of the resorts which take around 20 minutes.
