Early and late season skiing lessons
Obertauern is a snowsure ski resorts thanks to its location and height sitting at 1630m. The ski season nstarts at the end of November and finishes early May. So for early or late season ski holidays, you can book your ski lessons as you would if you were skiing in February.

Gastalm to Große Kesselspitze ski tour
The tour starts at the Tauern Pass road at 1,400 meters. The first 250 meters of ascent are leisurely on a forest path to the Gastalm at 1,700 meters. The route then leads through a beautiful larch forest and continues to a rocky summit formation. After a short, easy climb, you reach the summit at 2,351 meters, offering magnificent views.
This ski tour takes around 3 hours and covers approximately 9kms. It is rated as medium in terms of difficulty and has a vertical of 950m.
Small Pleißling wedge
This intermediate level ski tour in the Radstädter Tauern (Lower Tauern) area. It is also suitable for late winter due to its high starting point at 1300m and peaking at 2417m. From the Vorderer Gnadenalm, the ski tour takes you to Hödlhütte via the Hinterer Gnadenalmen at 1,336m. The route then takes you through forests climbing to the Obere Pleißlingalm and then up to the Südwiener Hütte with amazing panoramic views.
The ski tour takes between 4 and 5 hours and covers 16.5kms and is a great way to spend a day away from the pistes.
