Skiing in Ruka - Kuusamo - located in an area of natural beauty just below the Arctic Circle, close to the Russian border and 25km north of the small town of Kuusamo which has an international airport connecting to many of Europe's major cities.
Ruka is Finland's largest and one of it's best ski resorts due to the recent investment in infrastructure and the development of a pedestrianised centre with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
Uncrowded slopes, friendly locals, guaranteed snow and spectacular Northern Lights make Ruka a place where people go back to year after year.

Our view on Ruka - Kuusamo ski holidays
Ruka is gaining in popularity year after year as a family resort in winter and summer. It has plenty of activities not usually found in the alpine resorts, such as snowmobile safaris. When you add in the excellent accommodation and virtually guaranteed snow, Ruka is definitely worth a vist.
And, if you go in February or March, you get the added bonus of seeing the Northern Lights.
