Silver Star mountain resort in the Monashee Range, B.C, is a very family friendly ski resort with around 75% of the pistes geared up for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders.
Yet, Silver Star also delivers some steep and challenging on and off-piste terrain for the more advanced skiers and boarders especially around the unpatrolled area around Alder Point and in the glades of Putnam Creek.

Snowcat
Not that big in Europe but snowcat skiing is very popular in the Canadian ski resorts and certainly less expensive than heli-skiing. There are several operators in Silver Star that arrange snowcat tours in to the back-country and beyond.

No trip to Silver Star would be complete without having a go on a snowmobile. From beginners who prefer gentle groomed trails to advanced terrain, its an experience you won't forget. Snowmobile tours can be booked for 1, 2 and 3 hour sessions.
