By plane & airport transfers

Flying in to Chambery is the closest airport which is only 90 minutes drive away. However, not many airlines fly there or regularly and so the next best airport is Geneva. The alternative is Turin airport but this involves high mountain passes crossing the Alps. Airport transfers from Geneva to Tignes take around 3 hours although can take considerably longer on Saturdays - transfer day.

By train

Alternatively, if you are coming on the snowtrain to Bourg St. Maurice, it takes around 50 minutes to transfer to Tignes.
