SKi resort guide
Tux ski resort is a small alpine village sitting at 1300m on a sunny plateau towards the end of the Tuxertal valley and just 10kms from the Hintertux glacier. The Tuxertal Valley is a branch off the main Zillertal Valley which is home to the international resort of Mayrhofen and is the hub of the valley. Tux has been a holiday destination for centuries attracting wealthy Europeans with its therapeutic thermal spas.
The apres-ski in Tux is fairly relaxed with several cafes, bars and restaurants in the centre. For a wider selection of bars and clubs, head down the valley to Mayrhofen - ski bus or taxi takes around 15 minutes. Mayrhofen has one of the best apres-ski scenes in Austria and is very lively attracting a much younger crowd.

Tux is part of the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 ski carousel. With 196kms of pistes spread over 5 ski areas, there is something for every level of skier and snowboarder. From the village, the gondola takes you to the mid station and from there you can ski over to Finkenberg and on to the Penken mountain which is shared with Mayrhofen.

Tux ski resort is a pretty and traditional alpine resort sitting within one of the largest ski areas in Austria. In the shadows of it's lively neighbour Mayrhofen and largely off the radar in terms of international visitors, Tux is a great choice for family ski holidays and those looking to get away from it all yet having direct access to the Ski & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 ski carousel
