Our ski school, Ecole Suisse de Ski Veysonnaz, has professional instructors that provide private and group lessons for all levels of skier and boarder from absolute beginners to experts. Our instructors are multi-lingual and provide private or group lessons ranging from 1 hour, half day or full day including special family lessons.

Off-piste ski guiding & touring in Veysonnaz

To experience the full extent of what Veysonnaz has to offer, why not try some guided off-piste ski touring. Expert local guides will navigate you around the high mountain trails in safety taking you on an adventure around the spectacular Mont Fort and La Rosablanche to name a few of the famous descents.

Ski touring takes skiing back to its routes, away from the crowds, in pristine natural beauty surrounded by towering peaks, glaciers and that sense of freedom. The ski tours can be anything from 1 to several days spending the evenings in mountain huts.

Generally, you need to be a good intermediate skier with some experience of skiing off-piste. And if you feel you need some extra skills, the ski schools offer a variety of off-piste clinics and avalanche awareness courses to prepare you.

Mont Fort

This is one of the classic descents in the 4 Valleys from the top of Mont Fort at 3329m down to Siviez. It is one of the longest trails and delivers 1600m of vertical. The tour starts by navigating your way to De Tortin and then taking the lift up to Col des Gentianes and then to the top of Mont Fort. From here, its deep powder all the way back down to Siviez at 1730m in the Nendaz sector.

La Rosablanche Ski Tour - 1 day

This is also a classic trail and involves using skins to make the ascent up to 3336m. The tour starts by taking the cable car from Siviez up to Col des Gentianes and then heading towards La Chaux at 2706m. From here, its skins up to 2940 before skiing down, via Lac d'Age towards the Grand Desert Glacier. After crossing the glacier, taking care to avoid the crevaces, its a climb to the top of La Rosablanche before the ultimate freeriding experience back down.
