The area comprises 11 beautiful and traditional hamlets and quaint villages where you'll find some stunning ski-in, ski-out chocolate box ski chalets that have stood the test of time.
Arriving via the Autoroute Blanche via the valley town of Sallanches, the first resort you come to is the pretty village of St Gervais with its local market and cosy cafes. A little further on brings you to the chic resort of Megeve with its uber cool bars, restaurants, clubs and state of the art spa and wellness facilities. Aiguille du Midi - Vallée Blanche
The Vallée Blanche is one of the best off-piste itineries in the world at the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif. The 22km journey starts from the top of the Aiguille du Midi provides a massive 2800m of vertical descent down to the Chamonix Valley. Seracs the size of 3-storey buildings are everywhere as you pass through the glaciers and down through the Mewr de Glace.
This trip of a life time takes between 4-6 hours. You need to be confortable skiing off-piste but you dont need to be an expert skier or snowboarder.
