Whilst Sallanches is not known for its downhill skiing, it is just 10 minutes drive to the closest ski slopes which are in the chic resort of Megeve.
Summer is very popular attracting tourists who come for the hiking, mountain biking and to walk the beautiful Gorges de la Diosaz. Plus if you like spas, the wellness centre at Saint Gervais Les Bains 6kms away is a must.
