Overview
Big Bear Lake skii vacations - a four season resort nestled in the heart of the San Bernardino National Forest which was, until 1908, home to grizzly bears. It is the largest lake in Southern California measuring 7 miles long and up to a mile wide and sits at a lofty 2134m. Being an all year round destination, it has action packed summers and snow sports during the winter at its two premier mountain resorts - Big Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.
The main town around the lake is known as the "Village" and is the main hub for shopping, cafes, bars and a very good selection of restaurants from casual to fine dining serving all types of local and international cuisine.
