Homewood Mountain Resort sits at 1898m on the west bank of Lake Tahoe and just 10 miles south of Tahoe City. Its a picturesque playground for families and thrill seekers and enjoys around 300 days of Californian sunshine a year yet still manages an average of 450 inches of snow over the season - a high chance of fresh powder during your ski holiday!

The ski area is relatively large with 1,260 skiable acres starting from the shores of Lake Tahoe and rising up to 7840 feet on Ellis Peak. The 64 trails are for all levels of skier and snowboarder. For good intermediates and experts there are 750 additional acres of back-country terrain at the top of the mountain accessed via a snowcat.

Most people opt to stay in Tahoe City just 6 miles away where there is a large selection places to stay plus there is the added benefit of being close to all the cafes, bars and restaurants for the evening apres-ski. On the slopes, Homewood Hountain Resort also has the excellent West Shore Cafe and Inn where there is a lively apres-ski scene.
