Stowe ski vacations Skiing & snowboarding in Stowe, Vermont
Overview
Stowe Mountain Resort is just 5 miles from the pretty 200 year old village of Stowe in the New England county of Vermont and just a few hours drive from the historic city of Boston.
The 485 acres of skiable terrain is spread over Mont Mansfield and Spruce Peak providing 116 trails and a maximum vertical of 719m, the fifth largest in New England.
The apres-ski is on the quiter side when compared to Killington, which is where the younger crowd tend to go, plus Stowe is further north which insulates it a little from the Boston weekend skiers. Having said that, the Village has over 50 bars and restaurants to choose from.

Many people think of Colorado as the ski capital of America although there are many great ski resorts across the country and Stowe in New England is one of them. It has ample terrain for a weeks ski holiday, a relaxed atmosphere and is a good option for a twin centre holiday with Boston.
