By plane & Airport Transfers

The closest international airport to Val Cenis is Chambery with transfers to the one of the villages in the Haute-Maurienne Vanoise valley taking around 2 hours to cover the 134kms. Alternatively, you can fly into Grenoble and get an airport transfer from there which takes around 2 hours.

By car

If you are hiring a car from the airport, getting to Val Cenis Vanoise is straightforward. Whichever direction you are coming from, you need to get on to the A43 motorway (autoroute) heading towards Turin and exit at Junction 30 sign-posted Modane. Take the 1006 A-road heading to Lanslebourg where it's 24kms to Val Cenis Vanoise.

If you are not driving from one of the main airports and coming over the Col de l’Iseran or Col du Mont Cenis, please note that these high mountain passes are closed in winter.

Bus & Airport Transfers

If you are not hiring a car, booking an airport transfer to Val Cenis Vanoise is a good option. From Grenoble-Isère, the airport transfer will take just over 2 hours.

By Train

The nearest SGV train station is Modane which is 24kms from the resort. There are regular buses to Val Cenis from the station or taxis are readily available.
