Skiing in Ortisei - sitting at the entrance to the beautiful Val Gardena, one of the 3 valleys coming off the 24km Sella Ronda circuit, Ortisei is an authentic and pretty ski resort in the stunning Italian Dolomites - one of the few places that has attained Unesco natural world heritage status.
With access to over 400km of piste locally, ski holidays in Ortisei also offer the chance to explore 1220km of pistes on the Super Dolomiti ski pass taking in resorts such as Cortina, Alleghe and Canazei.
The apres-ski is fairly relaxed with several good cafes, bars and fine restaurants serving local and international dishes.
