Sitting behind the the col des Montets, at the foot of the Aiguilles Rouges, this authentic and charming village is made up of a scattering of hamlets surrounded by deep forests and rolling alpine meadows so you get some fantastic tree runs.
It's a relatively quiet ski resort compared to its much larger neighbour Chamonix, just 15kms down the valley, but is packed with charm and interesting bars and eateries frequented by the locals.
