Swiss Ski School of Villars caters for all levels of skier and boarder from absolute beginners to experts and offers specialist instruction in race training, telemarking, freestyle and for those with disabilities.
Lessons may be booked on a group basis or we can organise private lessons that range from 1 hour to a full day.
We can also arrange guided ski tours everywhere in the Alpes Vaudoises including Glacier 3000. For fans of off piste, our school is approved “Freeride World Tour”.
For children aged from 3-8 years, we offer peace of mind with a specially-designed kid’s snow garden.
During the warm summers, we offer an extensive programme of activities for all ages including a supervised children's entertainment programme.

Villars Ski School provides lessons and clinics for all levels of skier and snowboarder from absolute beginners to experts and offer specialist instruction in freestyle, ski touring and telemark. Private and Group lessons are available.
The creation of the School in 1974 was motivated by the development of a revolutionary teaching technique : The Gradual Length Method (GLM®). For beginners, this method has the advantages of being both simple and coherent. Apprehension and its associated dangers have become things of the past. After a few days of great fun you will have turned into a real skier.
The ski school also provides guided ski tours, snowshoeing, paragliding and during the summer different outdoor activities for children.

To experience the full extent of what Villars has to offer, why not try some ski touring in the Alpes Vaudoises. Expert local guides will navigate you around the high mountain trails off Glacier 3000 and over in to Gstaad where there is an abundance of off-piste opportunities.

Diablerets to Leukerbad
This 6 day tour is for good skiers taking you via the Wildhorn and Wildstrube huts before arriving at the wonderful thermal spa resort of Leukerbad. From Villars, its a gentle ski over to the Glacier 3000 lift and then it starts to get interesting. The tour takes you up to Arpelistock (3035m), across the Tungel glacier and there are some teriffic long off-piste sections - not to be missed!
Summer activities
Some of the ski schools operate during the summer months offer guided hiking tours and mountain climbing and many more mountain adventure activities. A very popular walk is from Scex Rouge to Quille du Diable on Les Diablerets glacier and does not require a guide.
