Gstaad has terrain for all levels although mainly for beginners and intermediates which is ideal for learning to ski and snowboard and improve your technique. The terrain around the Wasserngrat and Glacier 3000 has much steeper and challenging pistes for more advanced skiers and ski lessons to tackle this area can also be arranged from Gstaad.

The Swiss Ski School Gstaad - our professional team of highly qualified instructors are dedicated to teaching and improving every level of skier and boarder from beginner to experts. For children, we offer lessons to those aged 3 years and above.
We have been sharing our passion with guests from near and far for almost 90 years. We support you with your first attempts in our beginners' area or teach you the technique and knowledge for the perfect carved turn or for an exhilerating safe run in deep snow off-piste.

Privat Skilehrer Gstaad has been helping people learn to ski for over 30 years around the magical mountains of Gstaad-Saanenland. Only qualified ski instructors who know the region like the back of their hand are in our team.
We’re not only ski instructors, we can also act as your personal guide and local contact. If you wish, we’ll fetch you at your hotel/house, organise your ski equipment and book tables for you at your favourite restaurants. Our ski lessons aim to improve your technique whilst maximising your enjoyment and are available in several language.
Off-Piste ski guiding & touring
To experience the full extent of what Gstaad has to offer, why not try some off-piste touring. Expert local guides will navigate you around the high mountain trails in safety taking you on an adventure over the impressive glaciers of the Berner Oberland. The ski schools typically offer powder courses, off-piste clinics for skiers and boarders and avalanche awareness workshops which are invaluable.
Gstaad to Leukerbad SKi Tour - 5 days
The tour takes you up to Arpelistock (3035m), across the Tungel glacier and there are some teriffic long off-piste sections - not to be missed!
Steering - Bernese Oberland - 4 days
This ski tour starts in Lenk and works its way around the Steering area including the peaks around Adelboden. Its of moderate difficulty and is suitable for good intermediate skiers and above.
