Oetz piste map Skiing & snowboarding in Hochoetz and Ötztal Valley

The Hochoetz ski areas mainly caters for beginner and intermediate skiers although there is some challenging terrain on the Ochsengarten side of the resort where you’ll find the steepest terrain and the best powder trails.

The Hochoetz piste map shows there are 34kms of local pistes spread across both sides of the mountain with many trails taking you through the forests which are get fun.

After a few days on the Hochoetz pistes, intermediates may well want a change of scenery. Fortunately, the Ötztal valley is home to several other ski resorts including Obergurgl that sits at 1930m, and is just 14km further up the valley.

Another favourite is Kühtai just 25 minutes drive with the free ski bus. This is a high altitude snowsure glacial resort and is Austria's highest sitting at 2020m. The piste map shows a further 46kms of trails that are mainly for beginners and intermediates.
