Saalbach - Hinterglemm piste map Skiing & snowboarding in Saalbach - Hinterglemm and the "Ski Circus"
Skiing around Saalbach and Hinterglemm plus the lift connected resorts of Leogang and Fieberbrunn provides a massive 270km of pistes to explore. The carousel is known as the “Ski Circus” and given the breadth of the ski area, the Saalbach piste map will certainly come in handy. With plenty of long cruising blues and reds, the Ski Circus is paradise for intermediate skiers and boarders but also for beginners with lots of gentle nursery slopes.
Touring around the Ski Circus can be done clockwise or anticlockwise but remember to leave enough time to get back if you are planning on visiting the Leogang sector last. This area is great fun and has some excellent blacks for the advanced skiers.
The Saalbach piste map shows the lift-linked connection to the Schmittenhöhe ski area above Zell am See via the the 10-person gondola. This makes the Ski Circus ski area the largest in Austria, a record previously held by The Arlberg. However, you cannot ski back so you will need to take a short bus ride to connect back into the Saalbach ski area.
