- Aspen Highlands - a favorite skiing location for locals, with trails that are usually less crowded than other local ski resorts
- Aspen Mountain - rising up from downtown Aspen, this is the original ski area catering for intermediate and advanced skiers on 70 challenging pistes
- Buttermilk is set within the White River National Forest and just 3 miles from Aspen. The terrain is suitable to snowboarders and beginners with 42 trails and one of the longest terrain parks in the world
