Ranked #1 overall ski resort by Transworld Snowboarding Magazine , Snowmass offers a wealth of activities for all ages on and off the slopes.
Snowmass après-ski
When the lifts close for the day, the vibrant nightlife in Snowmass Village kicks into action. The main draw is the traditional après-ski scene at the Base Camp Bar & Grill at the bottom of the Fanny Hill run with its vast sundeck and live music.
The dining options are impressive given the size of the resort with a good selection of restaurants offering local and international dishes. For a more choice of bars, clubs and restaurants, downtown Aspen is just 15 minutes away.

Snowmass ski area guide
If you think you could go skiing or snowboarding in Snowmass and cover every trail and piste in a week then think again, the skiable terrain in Snowmass itself spans some 3,362 acres including 230 acres on Burnt Mountain.
When you add in Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands, this balloons to a massive 5303 acres covered by one lift pass! The downside is that they are not lift-linked but there is a free shuttle that hops to and from each area.

Beginners
Some gentle slopes at the base of the mountain is where beginners first learn the basics before progressing further afield where there are many long and wide cruising blue runs.
Intermediate
There's no issue regarding getting bored and skiing the same run twice at Snowmass. There is literally miles and miles of fabulously long intermediate runs around the entire mountain.
Advanced
There are several double diamond runs but the best and most challenging terrain is in the back-country with cliffs, couloirs and deep powder.
Snowboard
Away from the excellent terrain parks, Snowmass is a great mountain for snowboarders with long cruising runs in every direction. For the more advanced, the back-country bowls are not to be missed.
