How to get to Soll
The Wilder Kaiser Region is situated in Tyrol between Kufstein and Kitzbühel in the Söllandl valley. The four Kaiser villages of Söll, Ellmau, Going and Scheffau are easy to get whether you are coming by plane, train or car.
By plane
Söll is fortunate to have the major international airports of Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck all within an hours drive of the resort. The road connections from the airport are excellent with motorways nearly all the way.
By car
If you are driving on the Austrian motorways, it is compulsory to buy the Vignettes which is equivalent to road tax sticker. These can be bought at motorway service stations and a 10-day-vignette (the shortest version) will cost €8.90 for cars in 2017.
Coming from the West, you need to take the A12 motorway and exit at Wörgl Ost. Follow the signs to St. Johann-in-Tirol first before picking up directions to Söll which is just 12kms from the motorway exit.
From the North, you need to get on the A8 Munich - Rosenheim motorway before switching on to the A93 Rosenheim - Kufstein. Come off the motorway at Kufstein Sud and follow the directions to St. Johann-in-Tirol to pick up the signs for Söll.
By train
The closest train station to Söll is Kufstein just 11kms away. Trains to Kitzbühel and St. Johann-in-Tirol are also options but are a little further out. On arrival at the train station, you can catch one of frequent buses or take a taxi.
