Saas Fee summer skiing
The Saas Fee summer skiing area on the Allalin-glacier is impressive and is also home to one of the best summer freestyle parks in the Alps. This offers a super pipe as well as two lines of jumps, rails and boxes. The glacier caters for intermediate skiers and boarders during the summer skiing season and is a very popular venue for the national ski teams who come to practice before the winter season races.

Day Trips
Summer holidays in Saas Fee consist of long sunny days that can get surprisingly hot with temperatures often north of 30 degrees. This means you have that Mediterranean climate but being surrounded by mountains, glaciers and lakes means there is so much to see and do including walk around the Mattmark reservoir which has the highest natural dam in Europe and exploring the gorge from Saas Fee to Saas-Grund on suspended ropes. Zermatt
A very pretty village in the next valley, Zermatt is packed with climbers, hikers and skiers during the summer. Ride the cable car up to Plateau Rosa on the glacier and have lunch under the Matterhorn but returning to Saas Fee.
Lakes
Saas Fee is fortunate to have many alpine lakes which can be reached by gentle hiking trails and are ideal for picnics. One of the most popular summer holiday hang-ours is at Lake Kreuzboden where you have magnificent views of the 4000m peaks.
